Coach Milevski opted for the same formation and players that started the previous match against Iceland.

Macedonia again was the better side on the pitch with the opponent trying to score on counter attacks. One such occasion came in the 24th minute when after a mistake by Musliu a shot was fired by Sorescu, but Dimitrievski did his job.

The first chance for the hosts came in the 34th minute. Elmas on his own penetrated into the visiting box but his finish wasn’t good and Niţa made an easy save.

Sic minutes after the break Elmas made a solo run into the visiting defense resulting in a shot, but Niţa denied him. The Macedonia on the rebound tried with a bicycle kick but made a foul play attempting. Later in the 58th minute he served Bardhi who’s shot went straight into the visiting keeper.

Bardhi again tried in the 73rd minute when dribbling on his own opening a space, fired a shot from around 20 meters, but Niţa recorded another save.

Unfortunately that was the last real chance and the match ended goalless.

Highlights:

In the other two matches in our group Armenia made a huge step backwards after playing only 1:1 at home against Liechtenstein, while Germany had no problems at Iceland celebrating a 4:0 win.
