W Macedonia: Only draw against Moldova (Video)

Despite the favorite role, Macedonia failed to defeat Moldova at “Petar Miloshevski” Training Center in Skopje.

In the first half, Macedonia mostly had the initiative, but the best scoring chances were created at the end of the first half. Maksuti had a clear shot in the 42nd minute and Andonova missed a colossal opportunity in the 43rd minute. Goalkeeper Munteanu reacted well in both situations.

Centimeters separated Andreevska from scoring at the beginning of the second half, after great pass in the box by Andonova. Almost six minutes later, in the 52nd minute, Cerescu made a mistake and pass the ball to Maksuti, who came ono on one with the goalkeeper and scored. However, the joy of the home team didn’t last long. In the 55th minute, Țabur with a great shot from inside the box managed to equalize. In the continuation of the match, there was active play but without goals. In 89th minute, Milchevska hit the right post after a corner kick by Maksuti. Three minutes later, Chiper had a great scoring chance for Moldova but she din’t manage to put the ball in the net. In the 6th minute of the stoppage time, Andonova took a shot directly from a free kick and the ball passes near the left post.

In the next round, the Macedonia women national team is visiting Moldova. The match is scheduled for June 4 (18:00 CET).
