Third league side Viktorija decided to change its name and from now on it will be known as Pobeda Junior.
Viktorija, a club that was formed this summer in the city of Prilep after the original club Pobeda got punished with a 8-years ban by UEFA and FIFA for a match fixing scandal, decided to change its name and picked a new one with a much bigger resemblence to the suspended club. Viktorija was a Macedonian transcription of the latin word Victoria which means “Victory”, same as the Macedonian word Pobeda. The new club name is same as the old club with that diference that contains the word Junior.
Pobeda Junior is a winter champion in the Third League South and a firm favorite to win the league on the end of the season.
