Vardar targeting Dragi Kocev

Numerous Bulgarian newspapers are reporting that Vardar is interested in signing Dragi Kocev from Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

The 24-year old Dragi Kocev is apparently one of the transfer targets for Vardar during the January transfer window.  According to the Bulgarian newspapers, Vardar wants to add Kocev in order to strengthen the attack since instrumental striker Filip Ivanovski is likely to be sold during the winter transfer window.  Ivanovski is drawing interest from teams in both Germany and Greece.

Kocev has the ability to play in attacking midfield or as a winger.  Dragi has not been receiving consistent playing time at Lokomotiv Plovdiv this season so he might be open to a move to Vardar.  In the last game in early December, during a Bulgarian Cup game, Kocev scored a hat-trick in a rare start that earned him a place on the team of the month for December.  However, when it comes to league play this season, Kocev has not scored a goal in ten appearances.
