Vasoski named coach of Metalurg’s youth team

After his early retirement due to a serious knee injury, Aleksandar Vasoski has taken up a coaching role with FK Metalurg.

Aleksandar Vasoski is back in his first club of Metalurg but as head coach of the youth team.  Vasoski made his first football steps in Metalurg before starting an impressive career which was cut short due to an injury.  He is now the coordinator of Metalurg’s youth categories and head coach of the youth team.  He took over the role of Gjorgi Hristov who was promoted from that position to become the manager of the first team.  Since the appointment, Metalurg has kept up the pressure on Vardar as Metalurg is only five points behind the table leaders after the conclusion of the first half of the season.

“It is a great pleasure to work with the youth players, footballers who will replace the current first team players on the club but also become national team players that will build solid international careers.  Of course, while working with the youth categories, I will also obtain the needed license to become a professional coach” Vasoski told the club’s official website at fcmetalurg.com.mk.
