Miguel Ângelo Ferreira Pires, who will turn 30 in late October, comes after a brilliant season at Sileks that ended with winning the Macedonian Cup. The Portuguese played in 30 out of the 33 league matches, scored 11 goals and recorded 7 assists. He also played 5 matches in the Cup and 2 in the Conference League qualifiers last summer.
Miguel Pires is valued at 350,000 Euros by Transfermarkt, but comes at Vardar as free agent as he had signed only on one years with Sileks. He did the same with Vardar as the club announced that he has signed until June 2027.
Before coming in the Macedonian league last summer Miguel Pires played in Cyprus for Digenis Morfou, Doxa Katokopias, Agia Napa and Achyronas. Before the summer of 2021 he was part of Portuguese lower league sides Pinhalnovense. Montijo, Cova Piedade B and his hometown club Almada. He also had a stunt at Lithuanian team Stumbras.
