Macedonian champion Vardar parted ways with Goce Sedloski and immediately appointed his successor in Argentine coach Cristian Fabbiani.

Fabbiani is a 42-year-old former striker for whom Vardar will be debut European adventure. So far he has coached less known clubs Fenix de Pilar, Deportivo Riestra and Deportivo Merlo and also Argentine giant Newell’s Old Boys.

“Today I am living a unique experience. At 42 years old, I am in Europe, in Vardar, the most trophy-winning club in Macedonia. And the most beautiful thing that can happen to a coach is happening to me — competing in the Champions League.” – said Fabbiani.

Fabbiani will lead Vardar in the summer training camp in Norcia, Italy, which will be his first task after the short break that follows the season end. He will have a tough task to repeat the success of Goce Sedloski, who won the league after winning the Cup previous season.

Sedloski took over the national team of Macedonia.
