The European debut for Tikvesh won’t be in the hottest hours of the day, informed UEFA today.

Macedonian Cup holders Tikvesh had chosen to host Icelandic side Breiðablik at 17.00 CET on Thursday in Skopje in the 1st qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. It is a oeriod of the day when temperatures in our capital city reach almost 40°C.

Having in mind the weather forecast, UEFA today informed the two clubs that a change has been made. The match will now kick-off at 20.30 CET, a sunset period in Skopje.

Tikvesh probably wanted to use the heat as an advantage over the north team, but it is also a problem for the home team players. Or, Tikvesh did not want to pay for a night match as they have to rent the National Arena Todor Proeski.

The tickets are already on sale in Kavadarci, while in Skopje they will be available at the stadium ticket office on match day.
