Macedonia U21 will travel to Cyprus, not to face the U21 national team of this island nation, but rather the one of Israel. Due to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, UEFA decided to move all pf the international matches of Israel to a neutral field and the IFA decided to play as host at Cyprus.

Israel beat Macedonia 3:0 in Skopje on 13 August and will once again strive for the win as they are fighting to be among the 4 best runners-up in order to enter the qualification play-offs. While Israel has already secured the second place in the group, Macedonia is struggling to avoid finishing last.
