The Macedonian U19 national team visited Luxembourg last week and suffered two defeats in Niederkorn. This generation just can’t get out of the nightmare it finds itself in, considering that in the last ten matches they have two draws and eight losses, five of which are consecutive. On top of that, the call-up for these friendlies went to a player from the bottom-placed team in one of the fourth-tier Norwegian leagues, which is inappropriate, and to make the paradox even bigger, that player was the scorer of our only goal in these matches, which is another indicator of the current situation of this national team.
The friendly matches against Luxembourg were part of the national team’s preparations for the B League in the European Championship qualifying rounds. Macedonia is part of group B5, which also includes the teams of Switzerland, Northern Ireland, and Malta, and the tournament will take place from November 11 to 17 in Strumica.
