U19: Macedonia – Romania 1:2

The Macedonian U19 national team suffered a 1:2 defeat in the first friendly match against Romania.

The U19 national team played their first friendly match against Romania today in Skopje. The visitors celebrated a minimal 1:2 win. Shiva Părcălabu opened the scoring in the 20th minute, while Macedonia U19 managed to equalize the score in the dying minutes of the first half through Antonio Ilievski. However, visitors grabbed the lead once again in the 50th minute through Ovidiu Cruceru. Since minute 75, Romania played with 10 men after one of their players received a red card.

Macedonia started the match with the following line-up: Dushan Gjorgjev, Slobodan Bocevski, Sabahudin Alomerovikj, Redjep Kurt, Antonio Ilievski, Boris Dobrikj, Antonio Chavoli, Stefan Andrikj, Benjamin Demir, Tihomir Kostadinov, Mihajlo Jakimovski.

The following players were on the bench: Filip Ilikj, Kostadin Zajkov, Goran Terziev, Konstantin Cheshmendjiev, Dimitar Mitkov and Petar Petkovski. 

The next match between these two teams is scheduled for the 20th of March.
