Macedonian U19 national team suffered a minimal 1:2 defeat to France in the first qualifying match.
Macedonia U19 noted a minimal loss in the opening qualifying match played today in Skopje against France. The visitors took the lead first through Maupay in the 19th minute and managed to double the lead before half-time when Dembele scored in the 41st minute. However, Macedonia pulled one back when substitute Sulejmanov successfully converted a penalty in the 71st minute. But, that turned out to be the final score and now Macedonia will be looking to bounce back in the matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Liechtenstein.

In the other match of Macedonia’s group, Bosnia-Herzegovina had no problems and defeated Liechtenstein 5:0. Macedonia next faces Bosnia-Herzegovina and that match will be crucial to Macedonia’s ambitions for qualifying to the Elite Round. The match will be played at FFM’s headquarters in Skopje.
