Macedonia won the first half but then was trashed by the Italians suffering a 5:1 defeat.
First defeat for Macedonia at the XVII Mediterranean Games in Turkey. After the 2:2 against Libya in the first round, the Macedonians were defeated by the Azzurrini.
Again Macedonia had the lead, this time even after the first half the Macedonians were up by one goal thanks to Markoski’s goal in the 20th minute. For Kire Markoski this was his second goal in the tournament as he also scored one in the previous match.
In the second half Italy showed all its fury scoring five goals. They their just moments after the start of the second half, then scoring 4 goals in the last 15 minutes of the game.
