U18: Romania – Macedonia 3:2 (II) Video

Another defeat with the same result noted the young Macedonians against Romania away.

The U18 national team of Macedonia finished the adventure in Romania with a second defeat by the young Romanians. The result at the end was the same like on Friday, but this time Macedonia never had the lead. The hosts opened the score after 37 minutes of play when Celeski saved Panait’s shot, but then Manea scored on rebound. Macedonia responded quickly tying the score through Petkovski after a corner kick two minutes before the break. 13 minutes into the second half Romania took over the lead again. This time they scored after a corner as Suru headed the ball behind Celeski’s back. Later Târcoveanu added a third with a shot from the edge of the box. All that Macedonia managed to do in the last minutes was to score a second. And again it was the captain Petkovski who this time was alone one on one with the Romanian keeper, won the duel and scored for a final result of 3:2.

All in all, these two games were a good test for both sides. It is worth to mention the 4 goals of Petar Petkovski, 2 in each game.
