Macedonian U17 national team lost 0:4 to Sweden and has finished last in their qualification group.
Despite the home pitch advantage, Macedonian U17 national team only gathered one point in three matches, when they drew against Romania 1:1 in the first match.
Heading into today’s match with Sweden, Macedonia needed a win so they can advance to elite round, but instead they lost heavily to Sweden. With two goals in each half-time, Sweden won 0:4 and advanced through, leaving Macedonia on the last place. Engvall opened the scoreline in 22nd minute, Citaku doubled the lead three minutes later, Stojkovski has scored an own goal in 51st minute to give Sweden a 0:3 lead, while Halvadzic set the final score of 0:4 in 71st minute.
Macedonia played the match with the following line-up: Aleksovski, Krivanjeva, Sulejmanov, Stojkovski, Shakiri, Babunski, Kostadinov (71′ Petkovski), Te. Fidanovski (52′ Muric), Demir (61′ Zajkov), Georgiev, Nikolovski.
