U17: Macedonia – Romania 1:1

Macedonian U17 national team drew against Romania in the first qualifying match for EURO 2013.

Macedonian U17 national team hosts a qualification tournament for European Under 17 Championship 2013. Macedonia is in Group 10 along with Ireland, Romania and Sweden, with the matches being played in Skopje and Kumanovo.

Macedonia was supposed to play yesterday, but the match was postponed for a day because many players complained of stomach aches possibly due to some virus, Makedonski Sport reported. The match was played today and Macedonia got a point in a 1:1 draw. Macedonia’s goal was scored by Taulant Sulejmanov in 51st minute, after Andrei Ludusan opened the scoreline in 31st minute.

Macedonia played the match with the following line-up: Nikola Aleksovski; Kostadin Zajkov (79′ Erdan Murikj), Besart Krivanjeva, Taulant Sulejmanov, Antonio Ilievski (c), Lazar Stojkovski, Tihomir Fidanovski (42′ Boban Georgiev), Erblin Shakjiri, Dorian Babunski, Teodor Fidanovski, Benjamin Demir (42′ Todor Nikolovski).

The match between Ireland and Sweden ended in the same result, 1:1. Macedonia’s next match is on 2nd of October, against Ireland at the Boris Trajkovski stadium in Skopje.
