Despite being two years younger the Macedonians managed to put on a good physical fight against the older Maltese players. In the opening half an hour Macedonia was even the better team on the field by dominating the play and possession.

In the rest of the game the play was even with the hosts having more serious scoring chances, while the young Lynx got near the home box on several occasions but showed poor finishing.

The squad of coach Mario Vujovikj will remain on Malta as on Thursday and Saturday will play another two friendlies, but this time against the U17 national team of the hosts.
