Ivan Trichkovski had a dream start in his first league appearance for Legia Warszawa in the Polish top division.
Finally some good news for a change. Ivan Trichkovski had a great debut with his new club Legia. He came off the bench in the 56th minute, with Legia trailing 0:2, and helped his team salvage a point in the 2:2 home draw against Zagłębie Lubin.
Trichkovski, 28, only waited 13 minutes to score his first goal for Legia. After receiving a good cross, he sent a powerful header to the back of the net. Moments later, it was 2:2 with Ivan playing a part in the equalizer. His final pass took a deflection before reaching teammate Nemanja Nikolic who did the rest with a calm finish past the visiting keeper.
So, Ivan played a part in both goals to help Legia avoid defeat. As for Zagłębie, fellow Macedonian Aleksandar Todorovski played the full 90 minutes at right-back.

It’s positive to see Trichkovski make a quick mark with Legia. That will only raise his confidence as he endeared himself to the club and fans. He may even start the next game, a Europa League fixture versus Midtjylland (Denmark) this upcoming Thursday.
