Ivan Trichkovski collected an assist in Waasland-Beveren’s loss aginst Lokeren, while Jovan Kostovski was out of action for OH Leuven with an injury.
In Belgian Cup action on Wednesday, Ivan Trichkovski and Waasland-Beveren squared off against Lokeren, each team looking to book a place to the quarter-finals. Struggling Waasland-Beveren was the home team but they continued with the poor results, losing the match to Lokeren 1:3 to exit the competition. Trichkovski played the entire game for Waasland-Beveren and provided the assist on the lone goal for his team in the 68th minute which was scored by Hanan Maman. In the 1st half, Ivan had a good chance in the 25th minute but his effort was saved by the Lokeren keeper.
Meanwhile, striker Jovan Kostovski of OH Leuven missed Wednesday’s match against Gent due to an injury to his tibia. Gent won 3:0 to send OH Leuven packing from the Belgian Cup.
Finally, Mechelen, the team of both Tome Pachovski and Aleksandar Trajkovski was also eliminated, losing 1:2 against Genk with Pachovski conceding the game winning goal in the 90th minute. Trajkovski remained buried on the bench as he was once again an unused substitute. Aleksandar was loaned to Mechelen by his parent club Zulte Waregem, but he has yet to receive much consistent playing time thus far.
