David Babunski has 15 caps for Macedonia and was regular under Blagoja Milevski in the U21 team, but as Milevski took over the senior team he has been a bench warmer or not even summoned.
On the other hand, Trapanovski played in the poor domestic league and it is understandably that he wasn’t summoned, but now the things have turner around as he is playing in Scotland. He has been summoned only once, for the FIFA unofficial match against Saudi Arabia when Macedonia played with domestic based players. So, practically he is waiting for his official debut call.
“It’s my first time playing in the same team as David and I hope we can play together in the national team, too. I hope the national team coach is watching us closely!” – said Trapanovski in an interview for The Courier.
The Dundee based newspaper adds “Trapanovski, 24, has enjoyed a superb start to life at Dundee United, thrilling fans with his direct running and determination to cut inside from the left flank and drive at goal. He has found the net three times and boasts a further two assists.”
