Rabotnichki lost of its most important players before the Europa League qualifications. Defensive midfielder Dushko Trajchevski as well as winger Kire Markoski left the club to try themselves in the Cypriot top flight.
Captain Trajchevski joined Alki as a free player. For the 27-year-old it will be his first club abroad. He was part of the Rabotnichki for five seasons and previously has played for Teteks and Lokomotiva. This season he appeared in 26 games, scored once and recorded three assists. Since his debut in 2015, he has made 5 appearances for the Macedonian national team.
23-year-old Ohrid born Markoski will also have his first international adventure. He was part of Rabotnichki for the past six seasons after joining from Makedonija GjP as a promising teenager. Meanwhile he played for all youth national teams making the biggest success with the U21 last June when he reached the 2017 EURO in Poland. This season he played 30 league matches, scored 11 goals and made 5 assists. For the senior national team he has made 3 appearances.
With these two the Macedonian colony on Cyprus will rise to 8 players at the moment. Tranchevski will be alone at Alki, while Markoski will join Davor Zdravkovski at AEL. There are also Aleksandar Damchevski at Ermis, Edin Nuredinoski at Aris, as well as Martin Bogatinov at Ethnikos and Daniel Mojsov and Ivan Trichkovski both at AEK but the last three have their contract expires and may leave.
