Reputable Belgian newspaper HLN Sport announced on Tuesday that Tome Pachovski will be joining Vardar on a 2 year deal.
The deal to bring Tome Pachovski back to the Macedonian league is now official after Mechelen and Vardar reached an agreement regarding a transfer free. Pachovski was under contract with Mechelen until the summer of 2015, but he was not viewed as a started by club management. So, instead of sitting on the bench for the rest of the season, it was decided that a transfer was the best solution during the winter transfer window.

Vardar showed the most interest in Pachovski and their lucrative offer to Tome enticed the starting keeper of the Macedonian NT to return to his homeland. Tome is 32 years old and plans on continuing his career for several more seasons before he then enters the coaching ranks. As a reminder, he has already obtained a UEFA B diploma. Due to his close ties to the Macedonian federation, it is likely that Pachovski will be hired to coach the keepers of the national team upon his retirement in several years.

Pachovski opened as the Mechelen starter this season, but he quickly lost his job after some shaky performances. Afterwards, he was exclusively on the bench as Wouter Biebauw became the starting keeper.
