After reviewing the performances of Macedonian football players over the month of March, we put a list of the best starting 11 during that span. We compiled stats such as games played, goals, assists and clean sheets to determine which players deserved to be on the team.
The Macedonian starting 11 for the month of March will feature in a 4-3-3 formation. Some of the better known players did not do enough to make the list, either because of injuries or by not receiving enough playing time for their respective clubs.
Kostadin Zahov
Zahov, the starting goalkeeper for Vardar, edged Edin Nuredinoski and Darko Tofiloski to be the keeper for the team of the month. In five games during March, Zahov kept three clean sheets, including two against the second and third placed teams in Metalurg and Shkendija.
Goran Dimovski
Goran took part in five games over the month of March and his team Dacia celebrated four wins and a draw. Dimovski contributed to several goals with dangerous crosses from corner kicks.
Daniel Mojsov
Mojsov, a member of Vojvodina, was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet in five of six games during the month of March. In the sixth game, Vojvodina conceded just one goal. Mojsov also scored one goal which made him an easy pick on the team of the month.
Vladimir Dimitrovski
Vladimir returned as a regular for Czech club Mladá Boleslav with the start of the second half of the season and played in six games during March. In the past month, Dimitrovski featured in the Mladá Boleslav squad that eliminated Viktoria Plzeň from the Czech Cup but his side later exited the competition by losing to Sparta Praha over two legs.
Zlatko Boshkovski
Boshkovski was helped by the fact that players such as Goran Popov and Aleksandar Lazevski did not feature in many matches during March due to injuries. Vardar scored one goal apiece against Metalurg and Shkendija and Boshkovski provided the assist on both occasions.
Darko Velkovski
The 16-year-old Velkovski partook in five games for Rabotnichki during March and scored one goal. Velkovski is an all-around midfielder who helped Rabotnichki go undefeated in the month of March with three wins and two draws to move up in the standings.
Agim Ibraimi
Agim compiled two goals and an assist for Maribor in March while also being involved in the action for another goal by one of his teammates. Maribor continues to have a commanding lead at the top of the Slovenian table as they have a 16 point edge over second placed Olimpija.
Vlatko Grozdanoski
Grozdanoski, upon his arrival in China, had a good start for Liaoning Whowin with a goal and two assists during March. The season in China actually began in March and Liaoning has gone undefeated in four games with two wins and two draws.
Ilcho Naumoski
Naumoski scored two goals for Mattersburg in March, one goal apiece in the impressive wins against Salzburg and Austria Wien. Ilcho has controlled his temper and has been winning a lot of praise in Austria for his form over the past month.
Borche Manevski
Borche scored six goals for Rabotnichki in five games during the past month. He has started to regain his solid form from last year, and Rabotnichki has benefited by going undefeated in March.
Bazhe Ilijoski
Ilijoski moved to Romanian side Brașov in the winter transfer window and had a very good month of March by scoring three goals to go along with an assist in six games. He led Brașov to impressive wins over teams such as Rapid Bucureşti, Vaslui, and Pandurii.
