Darko Tasevski is officially the newest member of Bangkok Glass after he was unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday.
The transfer of Darko Tasevski from Ironi Kiryat Shmona to Bangkok Glass is now complete. Tasevski signed a 2 year contract and was presented with the jersey #22, the same number that he wore with his previous two clubs as well.
At the press conference, Tasevski made the following statement, “I am glad to be in Thailand. This is the first time that I have visited the country. I have talked to my compatriot Mario Gjurovski about what to expect in Thai football. I see it as a challenge and somewhat of a new experience. The league is developing and the level of play is improving every year.”
Additionally, Tasevski noted that after spending the past decade with several clubs throughout Europe, he was looking for a new challenge in another part of the world. After meeting with representatives from Bangkok Glass, he decided to accept their offer and continue his career in Thailand.
Darko will more than double his salary at Bangkok Glass so the monetary aspect was a major reason why this transfer went down. Besides Tasevski, Bangkok Glass also signed Japanese defender Teruyuki Moniwa. Bangkok Glass has the ambitions to win the league title for the upcoming season.
