Stjepanovikj gets bad news on injury front

The injury to Ostoja’s knee occurred during training last week.  Wisła Kraków then had him undergo extensive tests earlier this week to determine the severity of the injury.  Those tests showed damage to the ACL, which can be a very serious injury if surgery is required.

Wisła Kraków has told Stjepanovikj to rest up over the next couple of days, before he gets a second opinion on the knee next Monday.  At that point, the Polish club will decide whether surgery is required or if the injury can be healed with rest and rehab.  If surgery is needed, then Ostoja could very well be out of action for multiple months.

Stjepanovikj is a defensive midfielder who has become a regular for the Macedonian national team in recent times.
