The right wing back was banned from the first squad at Sporting after a quarrel with the head coach resulting in him not featuring for Sporting at all this season. Today he signed for the club from the capital city of Croatia. His contract is for the next 2 years.
Dinamo will be the 10th club in his career and the second in Croatia. Ristovski made a name for himself while playing for Rijeka that resulted in a transfer to Sporting. He is familiar with the league and also speaks the language.
At the Croatian champion he joins fellow Macedonian national team player Arijan Ademi, who is actually the team captain.
This transfer is a relieve not only for Stefan, but for the national team as well. With the EURO coming in June, Ristovski needs to be in form which can be reached only by playing on regular basis. Dinamo is also alive in the Europa League where they face Krasnodar in the 1/16-finals on the 18th this month. In the Croatian league they are tied at the top with Osijek after 19 rounds, and are also alive in the domestic Cup.
Ristovski may have his debut on Sunday when Dinamo visits Istra 1961.
