Stefan Ristovski is currently a member of Serie B side Latina, on loan from his parent club Parma.  Over the past couple of years, Ristovski has been sent on loan by Parma to four teams (Crotone, Frosinone, Bari and now Latina).  He had a bad experience with Crotone, but has done well in the other three places, including in this year’s loan at Latina.

ParmaLive.com reached out to Ristovski on Friday after Parma sporting director Antonello Preiti mentioned Ristovski as one player who has impressed the team with his performances for Latina.  Preiti stated that Ristovski, along with two other players loaned by Parma to Serie B clubs, were contenders to join the Parma first team next year.

Therefore, ParmaLive.com conducted an interview with Ristovski to get his thoughts on the recognition by Preiti.  Asked whether he was satisfied with the words, Ristovski said the following, “Yes, absolutely.  I have always said that Parma was the team to help me grow and develop.  I spent a beautiful year and a half in Parma where as a kid I learned many things, starting with the language.  I still have a contract for another year, and my dream is to play for Parma in the future.  I hope that all these experiences to the loaned clubs will be rewarded with the return to Parma, my greatest desire.”

Ristovski, 21, only played for the Parma Primavera team during his time with the club.  He joined Parma back in 2010 from his hometown club Vardar.

Stefan was also asked whether his success this season was caused by an added level of maturity, to which he responded, “I train every day with intensity to give the best of myself.  Last year I missed so many games due to commitments with the national team.  The Serie B does not stop during the international break.  Parma has always stayed in touch and given me advice.  This year I’m focusing more because I realize that I have to give my best in order to return to Parma.”

At Latina, Ristovski has shown great varsatility by playing in several positions.  He has played at right-back, right midfield and also central midfied.  Meanwhile, for the Macedonian national team, he even played left-back under previous manager Chedomir Janevski after Goran Popov was kicked off the team.  In addition to becoming a mainstay on the senior national team, Ristovski is still eligible to play for the U21 national team in the current qualifying cycle.
