Goran Stankovski today resigned as manager of Rabotnichki due to being unable to bring the team back on the winning road.
He led the Debar Maalo team since Round 8 of this season after coming instead of Viktor Trenevski. Interestingly, Trenevski also departed after a home failure against the same opponent of Akademija Pandev. Back then Rabotnichki lost 2:1 at home, while yesterday played a 1:1 draw, also at home.
“I resigned from the coaching job at Rabotnichki. In my honest opinion I think that this was the right thing to do, I have to take full responsibility for the recent bad results as the manager is the first to take the blame when thing don’t go as planed. The squad needs some new motivation in order to get back on track. I want to thank the club’s board for the confidence they’ve given me and I wish all the best to Rabotnichki in the rest of the season. I still believe that this has what it takes to win its goals.”– its the statement of the popular Gamagam for the club’s official web site.
Stankovski led Rabotnichki for a total of 19 games, all of the in the domestic league. He recorded 6 wins including two against local rivals and holders Vardar. Five times his team played a draw, while his players got defeated in 7 matches. He always stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation which was also used by his predecessor.
At the moment it is not known who will take the empty coaching seat at Rabotnichki.
