Slovak national team manager Ján Kozák announced the squad for their upcoming EURO qualifier against Macedonia and a friendly against Finland.
Same day as Boshko Gjurovski announced the Macedonian squad, Slovakia also revealed the players that will travel to Skopje for the EURO qualifier. Unlike Macedonia, Slovakia summoned 23 players because after the encounter they will play a friendly against Finland.
23 players from 13 different leagues among which the motor and captain of the team, Marek Hamšík. Midfielder Viktor Pečovský is the only domestic player in the squad. Since last month’s games only 3 players are missing: midfielders Karim Guédé and Erik Sabo, sa well as attacker Martin Jakubko. There are two debutants, Ondrej Duda and Patrik Hrošovský, who got rewarded with a call thanks to their good performances in the U21 national team.
