Shkupi signs Goran Maznov

Former national team striker Goran Maznov has strengthened Second League side Shkupi.

The board of the Skopje based club is determined to fight for promotion next season and in order to achieve that goal want to create a team capable of achieving that dream. 33-year old Maznov who signed a 1-year contract is surely the right man for the job as he is experienced and way too good for the Macedonian Second League.

Goran has previously won two consecutive First League titles (1999/00 and 2000/01) back in the days when then club was known as Sloga Jugomagnat. Becoming one of the best scorers in the league, he cemented himself a place in the national team and made a transfer in Russian giants Spartak Moskva. Since then he changed many clubs, while last season he was part of Shkendija from where he left in January as a free agent and until now was without club.

For the national team he appeared in 43 games scoring 10 goals.
