On Tuesday Macedonian champions Shkupi hosted Gibraltar champions Lincoln Red Imps at the National Arena Todor Proeski in Skopje and recorded a good 3:0 win. Summer Senegalese signing Mamadou Danfa in the 11th minute broke the dead lock, last season’s 1.MFL top scorer Sunday Adetunji in the 29th doubled the lead, while Scott Wiseman in the 62nd scored an own goal to seal Shkupi’s big win. Previously in the 54th minute Georgian defender Gagi Margvelashvili picked up his second yellow card, so he is suspender for the return leg that is scheduled for Tuesday the 12th at the Victoria stadium. The winner of this tie will face Croatian champions Dinamo in the 2nd round.

Shkendija defeater Armenian side Ararat with 2:0 at the same venue in Skopje. Adenis Shala in the 11th minute opened the score, while Valmir Nafiu just before the break doubled the lead with a great strike. Both goal were assisted by Ljupcho Doriev who was man of the match. Shkendija will defend the lead on Thursday at 17.00 CET at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican stadium in Yerevan.

Polis side Lechia were firm favorite in the clash with Akademija Pandev, and they confirmed that on the field at the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdańsk. Captain Flávio Paixão was a hat-trick hero with his goals in the 17th, 39th and 66th minute, while Łukasz Zwoliński scored the second goal in the 25th minute. The consolation goal for the Macedonian team came 9 minutes from time thanks to Serbian defender Dušan Joković. The return leg will be played at the Petar Miloshevski stadium in Skopje on the 14th at 17.00 CET.
