Shkendija wins, goalless draw in Avtokomanda

Shkendija beat Napredok, while Metalurg and Rabotnicki shared the points.

The defending champions Shkendija started brightly and took the lead in the 5th minute through new signing Mensur Kurtisi who scored in his first league game for Shkendija.  Midway through the first half, Shkendija’s best player Ferhan Hasani doubled the lead but Shkendija was then forced to play with 10 men for the remainder of the match after Sedat Berisa was given a red card.  In the second half, Napredok failed to take advantage of the extra player and even conceded one more goal in the 54th minute which was scored by Ardian Cuculi.

Metalurg and Rabotnicki played a goalless draw in Avtokomanda.  Mile Petkovski picked up two yellow cards in the span of two minutes during the first half and had to leave the field, leaving Metalurg with 10 players.  However, Rabotnicki’s attack struggled and failed to find the back of the net.  Metalurg still hasn’t conceded a goal after four rounds in league play but their winning streak came to an end as they had to settle for a point.  They now have 10 points from four games.

Shkendija – Napredok 3:0 (2:0)
5′ Mensur Kurtisi, 26′ Ferhan Hasani, 54′ Ardian Cuculi

Metalurg – Rabotnicki 0:0 (0:0)
