Shkendija to play 1 match behind closed doors

Once again Shkendija is victim of its fans. Because of vast serie of uncivilized behaviour of its own fans, Shkendija received a fine by the Football federation of Macedonia.

Among the nationalistic chants, banners and the lighters thrown towards the visiting players, the major incident happened when Vardar’s keeper Filip Gachevski was hit by a burning flare resulting in 3rd degree burnings on his face.

FFM awarded Shkendija a 1 match ban, meaning that the Gradski stadium in Tetovo will stay closed and empty for the Round 14 clash with Bregalnica. The club will also have to pay a penalty in money which will be defined later.

Despite everything, Vardar defeated Shkendija in front of its own fans with 2:0.
