Shkendija is officially eliminated from the Champions League after another defeat by Partizan, this time at home with 0:1.
Another defeat for the Macedonian champion in the UEFA Champions League qualifications. But, this time at least Shkendija played much better and had many chances to score. Shkendija could even lead with 4:0 at half-time but somehow their players managed to miss several great chances as goalkeeper Radiša Ilić showed great performances. The bad finishing was later punished by Partizan when substitute Vladimir Jovančić opened the score. The second half wasn’t so entertaining as the first, especially after visitors’ goal. Suat Zendeli was also great as he saved Shkendija from a worse defeat. In the dying moment of the game, Muhamed Huseini got a second yellow after a foul against Nikola Ninković.
The Serbian champion advances in the 3rd round where will face the champion of Belgium, Genk. Shkendija will now focus on the domestic league and the Super Cup against Metalurg.
