Augenthaler withdraws from coaching search

German coach Klaus Augenthaler has withdrawn his name from consideration regarding becoming the next manager of the Macedonian national team.

The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) seems to be having a tough time finding a successor to Mirsad Jonuz.  After Gjoko Hadzievski and Gjore Jovanovski, German coach Klaus Augenthaler has become the latest to withdraw from the search to become the next manager of the Macedonian national team.  In an interview with Macedonian newspaper dnevnik, the general secretary of FFM, Igor Klimper, announced that Augenthaler could not accept the position due to personal reasons refuting allegations that money was the problem as to why Augenthaler withdrew from consideration.

FFM initially gave a deadline of 15 July 2011 as to the latest date a manager would be named but that date has now passed and nothing seems imminent.  Macedonian manager Cedomir Janevski will be interviewed in the next couple of days according to Klimper but it is anyone’s guess as to who will become the next manager of the national team.
