Alimi is back in Macedonia and will take part Shkendija’s dream team for the new season.
After 5 years spent playing abroad, midfielder Armend Alimi is now back in the domestic league. The 26-year old signed a 2-year long contract with the Tetovo based team in order to strengthen their midfield. Alimi is the eight new player for the Red&Black this summer as the club strives for both the League and Cup titles in the new season.
Armend, a Kumanovo born, started his career in local side Bashkimi before moving to local rivals Milano. Since the summer od 2009 he has been playing abroad with the likes of Istra 1961 (Croatia), Örebro (Sweden), Nea Salamis and Ermis (Cyprus, both). He was regarded as a big talent, but unfortunately so far he didn’t show his maximum and therefore played only 9 games for the national team.
Rumors are also saying that Shkendija is currently negotiating another transfer. Seems like striker Hristijan Kirovski is close to signing. Since the beginning of 2014 he was part of Polish side GKS Bełchatów.
