Shkendija brings in Besir Demiri

The U21 national team player Besir Demiri is the first winter reinforcement for the Tetovo based club.

The 20-year-old central midfielder signed a 2-year contract with Shkendija. Demiri started his career at the youth team of Skopje team of Beshiktash, later played for Shkendija from the village of Arachinovo before joining his last club Shkupi. His great performances for Shkupi led to a call-up to the Macedonian U21 national team where he debuted in the 2:1 friendly win against Romania. Latter he added one more cap in another friendly win, this time against Montenegro.

“I am pleased that I have joined Shkendija and I will try to give my best to justify the confidence of the board. I’m aware that the expectations are big, but I’m willing to give everything in order to help the team achieve the goals. I know that the competition in the squad is big and I will have to work a lot, but I am convinced that this will help me to become an even better player.” Demiri said during his presentation.
