Several players return to First League

First LeagueWith the closure of the summer transfer window, several clubs have announced last-minute transfers.

Aco Stojkov, Vlatko Drobarov, Goran Ganchev are among the players who returned to Macedonian football this summer. Recently, we have published a list of all the transfers that we noted during the summer transfer window which you can see by clicking here. Now, we are making a short update as some clubs have signed new players near the end of the transfer window.

Champions Rabotnichki do not have the best of starts this season and red alert is on in the club. Aco Stojkov should be their newest and possibly strongest signing this summer. Experienced forward had a great season with Vardar before moving to Romania to play for FC Botoşani. He should now return to Macedonia and wear the champions’ jersey. Along with him, Rabotnichki have also got Nino Dodevski who was last playing for Metalurg and forward Cvetan Churlinov.

Table leaders Vardar signed another player of Armenian origin. Artur Miranyan, former Shakhtar player, strengthens Vardar in their quest to win the title this season. Vardar was also very close to signing Macedonian international Goran Popov but apparently the transfer fell through in the final phases.

Horizont Turnovo have signed a player from English side Blackpool FC in Jetmir Bushaj. He was on the bench for the match against Teteks yesterday but did not get a chance to play. Shkendija haven’t announced a new player but need to reveal a new manager after Roy Ferencina was let go after not the best of starts.

Pelister are very close to finalizing a deal with central defender Goran Ganchev who will actually return to the Bitola club if the deal is completed. Bregalnica have signed Macedonia U19 defender Viktor Talevski who was so far wearing the jersey of Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Nikola Tonev. Teteks have returned Vlatko Drobarov from Mexico and also got Croatian forward Ante Pejic.

After the 1st of September, only free agents can sign for new clubs.
