Coach Goce Sedloski expressed his expectations for tomorrow’s friendly match against Türkiye at an official press conference.

The domestics journalists asked sedloski what he think of thew statement of Türkiye’s coach who said that he wanted to play against Macedonia because our team plays similar style as Australia. Türkiye is in the same group with the Socceroos at the 2026 World Cup.

“We are playing against a strong national team like Türkiye, we are facing a new process, creating a new team, it is not easy to make a game and everything in such a short period of time. For the days spent with my players, I am very satisfied with what they are showing. As for the fact that we have a similar style to Australia, that is the opinion of the coach, we came here to present ourselves in a good way,” the coach began.

“Of those new players, I called up 7 from the domestic league. We had three starters from them against Bosnia, and that will be the case tomorrow. I am very pleased with those who were with us here the whole time. They left a good impression against Bosnia, we will see tomorrow. Turkey has good individual players, but we need to show ourselves strong, to show that we are also worth it.”

Football experts believe that Türkiye is a bigger challenge than the Dragons.

“I ask the players for discipline, for everyone to finish their job on the field. I want us to play offensive football, but let’s not forget what kind of teams we are playing against. The new players need to fit in with the older ones. Not everything depends on us here, but also on how much the opponent will allow. I am not a coach who wants to defend, but it is clear that the opponent is wondering about this too.”

The Türkiye – Macedonia match will be played on Monday at Fenerbahçe’s Sukru Saraçoğlu stadium, starting at 18.30 Macedonian time, and 19.30 local time.
