Second League – Round 11

Second LeagueTeteks’ momentum was briefly halted with road loss against Korzo, while the likes of Miravci, Drita and Skopje notched victories to narrow the distance at the top of the table.

Teteks, who was tied at the top of the table with Sileks heading into the 11th round, has been dominant at home by winning all six games in Tetovo, but the situation has been different on the road where they have just one win, one draw and now three losses.  The latest loss came against Korzo in a 0:1 defeat.

The six matches that took place today in the 11th round, with two more to follow tomorrow, features few goals as five games ended with the score of 1:0.  In the addition to the aforementioned Korzo, the other teams who celebrated slim one goal victories were Miravci, Drita, Tiverija and Pobeda Junior.  The lone game today that had a different scoreboard occured in the Skopje – Vrapchiste game, which the former won 3:1.

Tomorrow, to complete the round, Borec – Sileks and Zajac – Madjari Solidarnost will square off.  Sileks, with either a win or draw, will move into first place all by itself.

The Second League in Macedonia, much like the First League, is closely contested as there is only a seven point gap between the 1st and 10th place teams.  That can be extended if Sileks wins or draws tomorrow.
