Jovan Kostovski scored his first two league goals for OH Leuven past national team teammate Tome Pachovski, the keeper of Mechelen, while Ivan Trichkovski missed a penalty for Waasland-Beveren.
Two games involved Macedonian internationals in Belgium with Mechelen hosting OH Leuven and Waasland-Beveren facing Lokeren. The first game featured Mechelen keeper Tome Pachovski going up against OH Leuven CF Jovan Kostovski. Tome’s team ultimately won the game 4:2 with two late goals, but Jovan Kostovski scored first two league goals in Belgium. Kostovski scored his two goals in the 45th minute, just before halftime, and in the 73rd minute. His first goal tied the game at 1:1, while his second goal once again tied the game, this time at 2:2. Kostovski had another big chance in the 70th minute, but his effort was cleared after a bad finish. Mechelen eventually took the 3:2 lead in the 82nd minute via a penalty, while the game was then put away in the 90th minute to complete the 4:2 scoreline.
Both Pachovski and Kostovski played the entire game for their respective teams, while Aleksandar Trajkovski of Mechelen stayed on the bench as an unused substitute.
Meanwhile, Waasland-Beveren, the team of Ivan Trichkovski, continued its struggles with another loss, this time losing at home to Lokeren. Ivan was the most active player for his team, especially in the 1st half, where he had two chances before he then missed a penalty in the 41st minute. Trichkovski sent his penalty attempt over the goal for a bad miss. His two earlier opportunities came in the 23rd and 36th minute, but he could not beat the Lokeren keeper either time. Ivan played until the 70th minute when he was substituted by Fayçal Lebbihi.
