Start to second half of season delayed, stream coverage announced

FFM The start of the second half of the season has been delayed for one week due to the bad weather that has hit many European countries.

The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) held a meeting today with representatives from the first league clubs where there were some important announcements.

Since nine of the twelve clubs in the top league asked for the start of the second half of the season to be delayed due to the bad weather,  FFM decided to move back the start one week later so the season will now resume on the 11th of March.  Vardar and Horizont Turnovo (both teams held their training camps in Antalya, Turkey) were the only teams that were against delaying the start of the second half, while Napredok had no representative at the meeting.  The other nine clubs wanted more time for their preparations since some of those teams were stuck in Macedonia and could not play many friendlies since the fields were not in good condition.  However, even if the weather gets worse by the start of the new date, there will be no further delays.

FFM’s president Hari Hagi-Risteski shared some good news with the clubs as well.  Beginning in March, a new project will begin that will be called FFM TV.  It will include live stream coverages of the first league matches to be broadcast on FFM’s official website.

The clubs were also informed about their obligated transformation into joint stock companies and Vardar, as the first club to do so, shared its experience with the other clubs.

Before the second half resumes in Macedonia, FFM will provide 10 high quality PUMA balls to each club, the same ball that is used by the national team in international matches and will ask the clubs to use those balls for all competitive matches.
