Scottish squad announced

ScotlandManager Craig Levein announced the Scotland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Macedonia.

Scottish national team manager Craig Levein named a 24 players for the first two two matches of the 2014 World Cup qualifications.  Scotland will first face Serbia on 7 September, and then Macedonia four days later.

Scotland will be without Craig Brown, James McFadden and captain Darren Fletcher.  Brown, who managed to score a goal in his last game with Macedonia, is out of the squad due to an injury.  McFadden has a bad relationship with manager Levein plus is without a club, thus excluded from the team, while Fletcher is still trying to come back from a bowl disease that ended his season around February of last year.
