Rabotnichki destroyed Bregalnica 4:0 in the opening match of Round 23 in the Macedonian First League.
Midfielder Dushko Trajchevski gave Rabotnichki an early lead after just five minutes of action. The visitors then tries to push forward and level the score, but their efforts proved unsuccessful as the home side took a 1:0 lead into halftime. In the 54th minute, things got even worse for Bregalnica when left-back Martin Shishkov received his second yellow card of the game, thus leading to a sending off. Rabotnichki quickly seized the extra player advantage by scoring three additional goals in the next ten minutes through Borche Manevski, Blagoja Todorovski and Tauljant Sulejmanov.
With this win, Rabotnichki is at the top of the table, but they have a game in hand over the other three teams that had 34 points heading into this round. Before this game, Rabotnichki shared first place together with Turnovo, Vardar and Pelister. Those other three teams will have a chance to tie Rabotnichki when they play on Sunday. Meanwhile, Bregalnica remains just one spot above the relegation zone, but a Shkendija win tomorrow would move the Shtip based club into the danger zone.
