Renova and Vardar have opened round 22 from the first league with home wins against their opponents.
The last round of the second phase started today with two matches. In Tetovo, Renova hosted Rabotnichki, while on Filip II Arena, Vardar faced Bregalnica.Renova easily defeated Rabotnichki alsthough considering the form of the two teams, a bigger battle was expected. Renova opened the scoreline through Goran SIljanovski in 39th minute when he used a great through ball and scored the first goal of the match. Three minutes later, the home team doubled the lead after Sashko Ristov headed a ball home after a corner kick.
In the second half, Renova confirmed their win with the wonderful goal by Ardjent Gafuri after some great movement by the team’s attackers. Rabotnichki only managed to score a consolation goal through Bosko Stupić in 75th minute.
Vardar also celebrated an easy win at home against Bregalnica. The home team controlled the match and rather routinely managed to write down 3 new points. Miroslav Vajs opened the scoreline after he was the fastest to react in the box following a corner kick. 15 minutes later, it was already 2:0 when Milan Ilievski sent a strong, low cross from the right side and a Bregalnica defender put the ball into his own net.
The final score of the match was set in the 51st minute when Aco Stojkov received a good ball from Fili Petrov and sent it over the keeper and into the net. WIth this defeat, Bregalnica will start the final 11 rounds from the 8th position, meaning they will have to play 6 matches away from home and 5 matches at home.
