Rabotnichki defeated Vardar and climbed to the top of the table, while Bregalnica stunned Metalurg in Skopje.
In the derby of Skopje, shadowed by the tragic death of Petar Miloshevski, Rabotnichki celebrated an important win over Vardar and will enter the final 11 rounds from the pole position.
Vardar opened the scoreline first with a goal scored by Jasir Asani in the 37th minute, but Rabotnichki equalized just before half-time through veteran striker Borche Manevski. In the second half, Rabotnichki notched the game winning goal thanks to Bazhe Ilijoski. It was a bad all around day for Vardar who also lost Ilcho Naumoski to a serious injury that will likely keep him out for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, in the other game on Saturday, Bregalnica noted a surprising and important win over Metalurg to escape the relegation zone for the time being. In today’s match at Zhelezarnica stadium in Skopje, Bregalnica won 1:2 against Metalurg. Goran Zdravkov got things started in the 9th minute with a beauty from a free-kick before Metalurg equalized soon thereafter through Serbian striker Zoran Vujović. Bregalnica, however, reclaimed its lead in the 78th minute through Riste Markoski to take home all three points.
