FK Rabotnicki Skopje is eliminated from the Champions League as they failed to win in the home leg against Azerbaijani side Inter Baku FC. The match finished 1:1 which means that the away team will proceed into the 2nd round on the away goals rule.
Rabotnicki was the better team on the field in the whole 90 minutes, but failed to use that. Baze Ilijoski was the player who missed couple of good chances in both first and second half, especially when in one ocasion he hit the post of the away goal.
The Macedonians were those who opened the score. Krste Velkoski scored just one minute after the second half had started. The Azerbaijanians tied up in the 75th minute trough Czech international Branislav Czervenka. In the 4th minute of the injury time, Aleksandar Krsteski got a direct red card after a hard tackle on Walter Guglemone, but the Uruguayan international also was shown a red card after he reacted rough on one home player, so both teams finished the match with 10 players.
