After 3 months of winter hibernation, the Macedonian Second League gets underway today with the matches from round 16.
Probably the most interesting game will be the one in Kavadarci where Tikvesh is hosting leaders Gostivar. The hosts, with only 4 wins in the first 15 rounds, will have to face the team that so far has been defeated only once (by Gorno Lisiche in the 5th round). Gostivar currently is the biggest favourite for winning promotion, not only because they are half-season leaders but because they strengthened their squad with few first league players, mostly on loan.
In the local clash, Skopje is big favourite for winning the points against the relegation favourites Lokomotiva. Another local clash is the one between Madjari Solidarnost and Gorno Lisiche, but this one is without a firm favourite.
The second placed team on the table, Makedonija Gjorche Petrov, will play their game on Tuesday. Makedonija is visiting Babi and because of the recent floods their Gradski stadium in Shtip is unavailable so the game will take place in the city of Probishtip.
Miravci is lying on the 6th place, but they are only 3 points behind leaders Gostivar. That’s why this season is maybe the most interesting in the history of the Second League. Miravci today is hosting Korzo, a second to bottom team.
Also it should be interesting in the game between Vrapchishte and Rufeja. Vrapchishte is so far unbeaten on home ground, but Rufeja has First League ambitions.
