Preview: Renova – Dinamo Minsk

photo:Dinamo-Minsk.by Renova will be looking to cover a 2-1 defeat from the first leg against Belarussian team Dinamo Minsk in the second leg from the first qualification round from UEFA Europa League. Renova will be hosts on National Arena Phillip II of Macedon in Skopje.

In the first leg played a week earlier Renova lost 2-1 but proved to be a tough nut for favorites Dinamo who expected an easy win. Renova scored first with Ibraimi’s goal in the 40th minute, but later in the match Dinamo equalized with a goal from 11 meters and eventually won the match in the dying minutes. Now, in the second leg Dinamo will certainly play more cautious, while Renova only needs a 1-0 victory.

Coach Vlatko Kostov will have all players from the first leg available for the second as well and the new signings Gashi and Jancevski are likely to be fit as well, but official information will be given prior to kick-off. Renova’s trainings were as usual and the team was in quarantine for one day. Their opponents, on theother hand, played a league match and lost at home 1-2 to 8th placed Gomel. Dinamo are now on the 5th place with 19 points.

Renova’s players are extremely motivated for the match, they know that they have to keep their own net and only score one goal in their opponents’ but that situation will not be their main objective. They will play fully determinated and will try to eliminate the favorite on this two-legged match.

If the odds on the first match for Renova were as high as 10.00, for the second leg the odds on the home win are around 2.85, while Dinamo are priced at 2.15.

The match is scheduled for Thursday, 9th of July, 17.00 CET on the national arena Phillip II in Skopje. Referee will be Lasha Silagava from Georgia and he will be helped by Zurab Jvaridze and Zaza Pipia, both from Georgia.
