The First League resumes this weekend after the international break that saw the start of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Although Round 6 is without a real derby on the schedule, nearly all games promise to be interesting. Two games will be played on Saturday, while the rest on Sunday, including one night game. From this round, the Macedonian national TV station (MTV) will broadcast the most interesting games each round as they and FFM reached a deal regarding TV rights.
Surely, Rabotnichki against Metalurg is the most interesting game of the two scheduled for Saturday. These two teams have always played hard fought games without many goals, and many times they have actually shared the points. This game was chosen to be live broadcasted by MTV. In the other game on Saturday, Renova are firm favorites to down Sileks.
The Sunday games probably promise more entertaining football. An exiting and high scoring match is expected in Turnovo where the home team awaits Bregalnica from Shtip. Shkendija takes on the unpredictable team of Napredok in Kichevo, while Teteks will be looking for its first win of the season when they host Pelister.
The last game of the round will be played on Sunday night and also broadcast on the Sobraniski Kanal, MTV’s third channel. Defending league champion Vardar takes on Drita and anything but a home win would be a huge surprise.
